Submitting content to Tutorials & Guides is different to other article directories and wikis. Here’s why.

Most article directories and sites that you can contribute content to either don’t provide their contributors with proper incentives to submit original articles, or the article directories are so riddled with poor quality spam articles, with outgoing links pointing  to bad neighborhood sites, that any outbound links that appear in your articles become nearly worthless, even if the article directory has a high Page Rank. This is because, despite a high Page Rank, these directories have a poor Trust Rank. If a site has many poor quality outgoing links, then it can decrease the Trust Rank of the linking site. Since almost all article directory sites don’t monitor the quality of outgoing links, their Trust Rank becomes very low. This diminishes almost all SEO value for outgoing links. Not only that, these article directories often accept duplicate content from other websites, further lowering their Trust Rank.

With Tutorials & Guides, we make sure that our Trust Rank stays high, not just our Page Rank. We do this in three ways -

1) We manually monitor and review every submitted tutorial or guide to ensure it is of high quality, contains absolutely no keyword optimization or other SEO tricks, and is of a high standard of grammar, spelling and punctuation. In addition to this, we ensure the article reads well to our readers and provides the information they’re looking for. We never accept “filler” content.

2) We manually review every outgoing link in submitted content. If the outgoing link points to a page that is bad quality, or doesn’t have a Google Page Rank of at least 1, we won’t approve the article. This ensures that all outgoing links are trusted by Google, and eliminates bad neighborhood links, affiliate links, and pages that have yet to prove their authority to Google.

3) All content that appears on our site is completely original. We don’t allow authors to submit content to multiple websites. This ensures that our site does not suffer from any duplicate content penalties in Google, furthering increasing our Trust Rank.

How This Benefits You

As the author, you are allowed as many outgoing links to external websites in your tutorials & guides as you like, provided they meet the requirements above. In addition, you’re allowed a resource link pointing back to your website in your profile. All of these outgoing links do not contain the nofollow attribute, all appear on a high Trust rank website, and will therefore be highly valued by Google.

What We Expect

All submitted tutorials & guides should be comprehensive, easy to understand, engaging, and completely free of spelling, punctuation and grammatical errors. Every submitted work will need to be at least 1000 words in length. We retain exclusive rights to use all material you submit to us. This means that you are not allowed to reproduce any content you submit to us anywhere else on the Internet or offline, nor are you allowed to submit material to us that you do not maintain exclusive copyright to. This ensures that the content on our website remains completely original and unique.

If you’d like to file an application to become an author, you should already have a tutorial or guide written that meets our editorial standards and that falls into one of our categories. In addition, any outgoing links on the article should be at least Page Rank 1 in Google (the actual page the link is pointing to, not the site).
